Description
Geotextile – Class B 1.9m x 50m is a woven geotextile fabric, supplied as a 1.9m wide by 50m roll, used to separate, stabilise, drain and reinforce ground beneath driveways, paths and retaining structures. Mixing two different materials, such as a clay subgrade and GAP40 aggregate, wastes expensive aggregate and weakens the surface above it as the layers work into each other over time. This fabric forms a separation layer between materials so they stay where they’re placed, while still allowing water to move across the plane of the fabric for drainage and filtration. It reinforces and strengthens unstable ground, particularly useful on peat or soft clay, so a surface built over it stays stable for years rather than settling unevenly. At 1.9m wide, it suits driveway and pathing widths without needing an extra join down the middle. Civil contractors and site managers use it under driveways and paths, behind retaining walls, and for sub-soil drainage wherever ground needs separating, stabilising or draining.
