Description
The Concrete Rake Aluminium 500mm (6191-9986) is a cranked-blade placer rake that pulls and spreads wet concrete across a slab pour. NZ concreters also call it a placer rake or a concrete rake.
Wet concrete is heavy and starts to set while the crew works. Dragging it by shovel leaves uneven piles and extra levelling work before the screed goes down. The 500mm blade moves a wide strip of concrete in each pass, so the pour reaches a consistent depth faster.
The blade is aluminium and the whole rake weighs 1.2kg. That weight is light enough to keep swinging through a full pour, and aluminium does not rust when it is washed down after the pour.
Concreters, groundworkers and slab crews use the Concrete Rake Aluminium 500mm to place concrete ahead of the screed on floor slabs and concrete pads.
