Z Bar Plate Nut

Description

The Z Bar Plate Nut is a nut with an integral bearing plate that threads onto the end of a 15mm Z bar tie. The plate spreads the clamping load across the form face, so the nut can pull the form tight without crushing the timber or ply.

Fit one plate nut to each end of the tie bar, then tighten until the form faces sit at the wall thickness. One plate nut weighs about 0.8kg. Powerpac also stocks the Z bar in a 15mm x 3000mm length, along with the pivot plate nut, wing nut, flange plate and joiner.

Powerpac has not published the load rating for this plate nut, so get the safe working load from the formwork designer. Builders also call this part a Z bar nut or a tie nut.
