Description

SDS Max Masonry Drill Bit 18mm x 940mm is an extra-long heavy-duty hammer-drill bit for drilling deep plug and fixing holes in concrete, masonry and stone. Reaching through thick walls or deep foundations calls for a bit long enough to finish the hole in one pass, and reinforced concrete, natural stone and dense masonry blunt an ordinary bit fast along the way. This bit uses the SDS-max W2 TURBOHEAD Xpro design: a W2 helix with asymmetrical shovel-shaped entry grooves and large-volume double hauling flutes clears drilling dust fast, while the depth-offset full carbide head and X-cutting, 2×2 cutting concept stop the bit locking in reinforcement and keep the hole exactly cylindrical even in armed concrete, even over its full 940mm reach. Chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel construction is shot-peened and hardened to an intermediate level, with the carbide head high-temperature brazed at about 1,120°C for a bond that holds under heavy impact. It fits directly into SDS-max and HILTI TE-Y drive hammer drills and is made in Germany. At 18mm diameter and 940mm long, this is the longest bit in the 18mm range, and contractors and tradies reach for it for through-wall drilling and deep service penetrations in artificial stone, masonry, natural stone or reinforced concrete.
