Description

Self Tapping Timber Screw 14G x 150mm is the longest Type 17 hex head screw in Powerpac’s 14G range. The Type 17 point cuts its own pilot hole as the screw is driven, so one tool does the drilling and the fastening. The full thread grips along the whole shank, and the hex head takes a driver or nutsetter for the torque a 150mm screw needs.

Each pack holds 250 screws and weighs 6.6kg. At 150mm long, the screw reaches through deep timber sections and through packers into the member behind. Powerpac also stocks the same 14G Type 17 screw in 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, 90mm and 100mm lengths. The screw is listed for external use. On NZ sites it is called a T17 screw or timber tek, and builders and formworkers buy it for heavy timber fixing on residential and commercial jobs.
