GFRP is an abbreviation for Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer Rebars. The Durabar has many advantages over the traditional steel bar solution.
Powerpac Group have brought the Dextra Durabar to the New Zealand market, and are excited to share the innovative technology to save our partners, time and money.
Dextra has been a leader in the composite industry for more than 25 years, manufacturing high-quality FRP solutions supplied on large infrastructure projects.
All Durabarâ„¢ GFRP rebars are produced in Dextra ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 certified factory, following the company’s stringent quality assurance policy.REQUEST A SITE VISIT

With high resistance to chlorides and alkalis, Durabar is the perfect reinforcement solution for environments exposed to water, salts and humidity. It’s also an ideal reinforcement solution for high-voltage currents and magnetic fields as it is non-conductive.
Durabar’s bond strength of 10 MPa, allows shorter lapping length. Can substitute steel bar of larger diameter – or increase the rebar spacing. Further saving on the concrete cover = less volume of concrete.
Delivered in straight bars up to 11.8m or in coils of 50m. Labour required for installation is reduced by 2x to 3x with Durabar.
