Storm Water Drain Guard stops sediment, hydrocarbons and other pollutants from washing straight into the stormwater system through a drain. Sediment-laden runoff and oil or grease entering stormwater drains pollutes waterways and can breach resource consent conditions, and a guard with nowhere for water to go once it's loaded up just backs up and floods the area around it. This guard fits under the grate over the drain inlet, with a large sediment pocket that captures silt, sediment and rubbish along with oil and grease before any of it enters the drain. Built-in overflow ports let water pass through even once the pocket is loaded, and sewn-in lift-out straps let it be pulled out for cleaning without falling into the inlet. It's one size, fitting most drains, made from polypropylene geotextile, holding up to 18kg of sediment and 3.5L of oil and grease while exceeding 75% TSS removal. Measuring 1220mm x 910mm x 460mm and weighing just 0.5kg, it's used at any drain inlet on a construction site where runoff needs filtering before it reaches the stormwater system.

About Site Enviro - Storm Water Drain Guard
Up to 18kg of silt, sediment and rubbish, plus 3.5L of oil and grease.

Lift the grate, insert the Drain Guard, and replace the grate to hold it in place. Excess fabric can be trimmed if needed.
