Powerpac's Duplex Multi-Use Screw is a reusable, self-tapping formwork fastener built for the demands of concrete construction. About Duplex Multi Use Screw 75mm - 100pk
Each screw is rated for 20+ uses. In practice, many users report getting significantly more cycles when driving into softwood framing timber.
Unlike duplex nails, this screw threads into the timber for a much stronger hold during pours, then removes cleanly without splitting or damaging the wood. The screw threads provide superior pullout resistance compared to a nail's friction-only grip.
The Type 17 self-tapping point is designed primarily for softwood and engineered timber commonly used in formwork. For hardwood applications, we recommend pre-drilling a pilot hole.
Concrete may splash onto the head during pours, but the bright orange colour ensures the screw remains visible for easy location and removal. The hex head profile allows your driver to seat firmly even with minor concrete residue.
