About Site Shield - Bruteboard™

How to install

Site Shield - Bruteboard™

  1. Prepare the Surface. Sweep or vacuum the area to remove dirt, gravel, screws, and construction debris. Any sharp objects trapped beneath the board can cause indentations or damage to finished surfaces.
  2. Plan Your Layout. Measure the area requiring protection and calculate the number of boards needed. Each sheet covers 2.64m² (2.2m x 1.2m). Plan your layout to minimise cuts and ensure full coverage of high-traffic zones.
  3. Position the First Board. Lay the first board with the felt side facing down against the finished surface. Start from one corner or edge of the area, aligning the board parallel to the main traffic flow.
  4. Continue Laying Boards. Place subsequent boards edge-to-edge, ensuring no gaps between sheets. Stagger joints where possible to create a more stable surface for wheeled equipment.
  5. Cut to Fit. For edges, corners, or obstacles, measure and mark the board, then cut using a utility knife or saw. Brute Board cuts easily with standard tools.
  6. Secure the Perimeter. Place barrier weights around the outer edges to prevent board movement, especially in outdoor areas or where vehicle traffic is expected. For indoor applications, heavy-duty tape can secure edges to prevent shifting.
  7. Inspect Before Use. Walk the installed area to check for gaps, raised edges, or unstable sections. Ensure all boards lie flat and edges are secured before allowing traffic.
