Gaps at insulation joins let air and moisture through, and undermine the whole vapour barrier. Standard tape can soften or lift in hot roof spaces and near ductwork. This tape uses an aluminium foil backing with a heat-resistant adhesive, so it seals tight against foil-faced surfaces and holds in high-temperature environments where plastic or cloth tape fails. Each roll runs 100mm wide by 66m long, wide enough to cover joins in a single pass. It reflects heat rather than absorbing it, and resists UV better than standard tape when used outdoors.
