SDS Max Bushing Tool – Carbide Coated is a toothed scabbling head for roughening concrete surfaces. Keying a new concrete pour or a rendered finish to an existing concrete face needs a rough, mechanically keyed surface rather than a smooth one, and a smooth face left untouched gives a new layer nothing to grip onto. This bushing tool’s carbide-tipped teeth bite into the concrete face, giving a Type B surface finish with a penetration of up to 6mm depending on the concrete’s hardness and the tool’s wear. It fits directly into SDS-max shank percussion drills and impact hammers. Tradies and concrete finishers reach for it wherever an existing concrete face needs roughening before a new pour, screed or render is keyed to it.
