The GroutSnout is a two-part cap system for grouted Drossbach connections in precast concrete. The Feed Sleeve fits onto the bottom of the duct and takes the grout-feed hose. The Vent Cap fits onto the top and lets air escape at the highest point of the duct. Together they turn the connection into a sealed column that fills from base to tip, with no on-site drilling and no hollow pockets at the top of the duct.

How the GroutSnout system solves them:
Drossbach ducts are large in diameter relative to panel thickness. Hollow pockets across adjacent connections reduce the effective cross-section enough to weaken the panel through-thickness. In shear walls and structural frames, that’s a lateral load-path issue.
In NZ, it’s a seismic one. The GroutSnout makes top-exit venting the default detail rather than a careful exception
The GroutSnout is available in multiple sizes suited to fit a range of drossbach vents.

Built-in tail piece for 19mm tube
The GroutSnout features a built-in tailpiece that securely connects with 19mm vent tubes, providing an easy, no-drill solution. This means no time-consuming drilling on the upper vent and achieve a secure, reliable fit every time.
