A heavy steel float drags and digs into soft concrete, while a blade that’s too light or the wrong material skates over the surface without closing it properly. This magnesium blade is light enough to glide across freshly placed concrete without dragging, closing the surface and embedding aggregate, with a rounded end that avoids leaving edge marks on the pass. At 1830mm x 203mm, sold as a blade only for fitting to a compatible bracket and handle, concrete finishers reach for it wherever a lightweight, responsive float is needed for smoothing especially wide slabs.
