Description
SDS Max Masonry Drill Bit 50mm x 570mm is the largest heavy-duty hammer-drill bit in the SDS Max masonry range, for drilling the biggest plug and fixing holes in concrete, masonry and stone. Reinforced concrete, natural stone and dense masonry blunt an ordinary bit fast, and forward motion that drifts off-centre in armed concrete risks a hole that isn’t cylindrical or a bit that locks in the reinforcement steel. This bit uses the SDS-max W2 TURBOHEAD Xpro design: a W2 helix with asymmetrical shovel-shaped entry grooves and large-volume double hauling flutes clears drilling dust fast, while the depth-offset full carbide head and X-cutting, 2×2 cutting concept stop the bit locking in reinforcement and keep the hole exactly cylindrical even in armed concrete. Chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel construction is shot-peened and hardened to an intermediate level, with the carbide head high-temperature brazed at about 1,120°C for a bond that holds under heavy impact. It fits directly into SDS-max and HILTI TE-Y drive hammer drills and is made in Germany. At 50mm diameter and 570mm long, contractors and tradies handling the largest fixing and anchor jobs reach for this bit wherever the biggest holes are needed in artificial stone, masonry, natural stone or reinforced concrete.
