• Trowel blades are made with hardened and tempered carbon steel
• High carbon increases the abrasive resistance, resulting in longer life
• Also available as specially formulated blue tempered steel for longer life and better finish
• Blades are supplied for most of the trowel types
8'' x 14'' Combi Blades do both floating and finishing work with one set, so the crew isn't stopping mid-job to change blades over. Floating with one blade type and finishing with another means swapping sets partway through a pour, costing time on a job where timing against the concrete's set is already tight. These combination blades run flat for the early floating pass, then pitch up as the concrete stiffens to finish the surface, all on the one set. Made from heavier gauge steel for the combined workload, they measure 8'' x 14'' and are sold as a set of 4. Concrete finishers use them on general flatwork where changing blades mid-job isn't practical.

About Combi Blades
8'' x 14'', sold as a set of 4.
A combi blade handles both jobs with one set, run flat for floating and pitched steeper for finishing, so there's no need to swap blades mid-job.
It does both jobs well enough for most site work, though a dedicated finishing blade produces a slightly better polished result on its own.
Heavier gauge steel, built for the combined float and finish workload.
4.
Yes. Combi blades, combination blades and trowel blades are all names used for this category of product.
